About the Founder & School

CNA School & Founder

Faia Stevenson, founder of Better Options School of Nursing – Where our story begins- a nurse educator and advocate with over 10 years of hands-on experience. Her journey starts as a caregiver, where she saw firsthand the difference a skilled and compassionate certified nursing assistant (CNA) can make in a patient’s life. The realization stays with her as she now owns an adult family home, specializing in respiratory care, and later inspired her to launch a CNA school in Vancouver, WA.

Today Faia’s objective is simple: to train exceptional CNAs who provide not just care, but dignity & comfort to patients in need. Better Options School of Nursing is built on the belief that great healthcare begins with great education.

Under her leadership, Our CNA program blends:

Verified reviews from graduates who started their healthcare careers here!

I had a great experience completing my CNA training here. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about helping each student succeed. They made sure we not only understood the material but also felt confident performing the skills in a real-world setting. The program was well-organized and provided a good balance of classroom learning and hands-on practice. I really appreciated how supportive the staff was throughout the entire process—from enrollment all the way to preparing for the state exam. I feel much more confident starting my career in healthcare because of the training I received here. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to become a CNA!

Samantha Jones CNA

The pm schedule worked great for me and the class expectations were very clear from the beginning. They were very organized and helpful. We had plenty of open lab time to take advantage of to practice our skills. I really liked the small student to teacher ratio too!

Kelly Johnson CNA

I just finished my clinical days at this CNA school. My experience was fantastic, I feel extremely prepared for the skills test as well as the knowledge test. I did the night classes with Kelly, who is an RN. Because this is a stepping stone to my future in nursing school, I got great insight for how that journey will go and some great tips for being the best CNA possible. I learned great information about patient advocacy and rights and how important it is to be an advocate for your patient or resident since CNA spend the most time providing care. Thank you, Better Options. I’m confident I will be an excellent NA with these foundational skills to build on.

Cassandra Young CNA

I was very prepared for both my written and skills CNA exams after their course. Everyone was very kind and understanding and it is obvious that they care about your success.
